ICIN took part at the Westminster Cathedral “Towards Avent 2016” festival last Saturday 26, November.
Bishop Nicholas Hudson officially opened the event, where a variety of Catholic organisations stood at stalls to display and sell their craft work and raise awareness of their individual causes.
The ICIN team had an enjoyable and worthy day, raising awareness of the plight of our people at home and getting familiar with other charities. Small donations were also made to ICIN on the day.
The festival included, among other things, a workshop on Gregorian chants and a talk by Fr Alexander Sherbrooke on Mother Teresa whom he had personally worked with.
Beautiful songs and hymns in Polish were performed by the Polish Children Choir.
Sincere thanks to Amal Razouk and Zaid Bunni for the time and effort spent preparing for this event.
We are also very grateful to Sawsan Marogy, Susan Kassir and Amal Razouk who represented ICIN on the day. A supporting visit by Dr Faiz Tappouni and Dr Suha Rassam later on the day was appreciated by all.
